I would clarify this to say that most people eat far too many of the WRONG calories for their overall body type and activity levels. Not all calories are equal and not all people need the same amount. Most people eat far too much processed junk while leading lazy sedentary lifestyles.
Shit dude, what are you gonna tell me next... people don't exercise enough??!
Portion size has gotten out of hand. A milkshake in some restaurants is more than some peoples entire recommend daily calories
Yea, reminds me of those big gulp soda cup sizes, way out of control - much like the waists of those that drink from them.
1 meal a day at most
Yea, i'm only in for a single cooked meal in the afternoon/ early evening.Breakfast or lunch is high fibre/ low gi toast and buns with fruit/ raisins/ dates / filtered water and organic green tea for snacks.
Source????
REEEEEEEEEE
Healthy at any weight bigot!!!
On the weekends I tend to eat out a lot. It's great because the food is really good, and I stray from eating the same foods during the work week. But it gets expensive and I notice I'm gaining weight from all those calories.
What I've decided to do is to water fast every other weekend, and it seems to help. I can save money, lose weight, feel better about myself, and have more time to do things since I'm not eating or going to the bathroom as often when I'm fasting. Everyone should try it at least a few days.
Calories are all bullshit. CICO is useful when everyone more or less eats the same diet. But 100 Cals of bread is not 100 Cals of steak. Not by a long shot. We do not burn food for heat. We are not bomb Calorimeters. Out metabolism is hormonal and chemical.
I switched to Carnivore 5 years ago. I was eating I shit you not like 4k Cals a day and still lost adipose tissue. My bone density, soft tissue, organs and muscles were building up from all the extra collagen and protein. I was growing hair at 40 in places I didn’t have it before. Eventually I naturally went into OMAD and eating less but “science” has nutrition all wrong. Entirely. Most of the shit is based on self-reported data and is useless for evidence based medicine. Our body runs on fat. Cholesterol is the most important molecule the body uses. And out appetite is hijacked by carbs which just store fat.
this guy has a neat theory
100 Cals of bread == 100 Cals of steak.
lol
The slash didn’t print. I edited it and used words.
Check Dr Anthony Chaffee, Dr Shawn Baker and Dr Ken Berry on YT. Really good shit.
That's because calories are stupid ideas for the stupid to continue their stupidity.
Calories are less important than WHAT you're eating.
that's not true. calories in vs. calories out is the only factor that matters in the end for weight gain / weight loss.
you could eat solely mcdonalds and lose weight if you stay within a specific caloric range.
sure, you may develop some nasty cancers down the road and feel like shit, but the actual fat loss wouldn't be a problem.
that's not true. calories in vs. calories out is the only factor that matters in the end for weight gain / weight loss.
For that to be true, the following also has to be true:
- The human body is a closed system.
- There is only one metabolic pathway for all nutrients.
Since both of those are false, calories are not the only factor. In fact, they're not even a terribly important one. The epidemic of obese lard dumpsters is the result of this calorie cult.
Yes, you can lose weight by calorie restriction alone. Almost nobody can lose weight and keep it off by calorie restriction, though. It's always very temporary because in the end biology will win over willpower.
What's interesting is the part about how you get fat. You get fat when your body deposits extra energy in your fat tissue. There's only one way to do that: insulin. Without elevated insulin you can't deposit fat. That is why ketogenic diets work so much better than any other, and why people don't put on weight eating lard, fatty steak, butter, and bacon - because their body has no way to do it.
they are the only factor. if a calorie deficit is maintained, whether through eating well or eating fast food, weight loss occurs.
if it's a calorie surplus, whether through healthy or shit tier goyslop, weight gain occurs.
but you can go ahead and argue against indisputable fact.
People eat too much processed bullshit and snack too much while being inactive.
