I would also opine that all they have learnt throughout college, grad school and internship or whatever is 'follow the rules - comply or you're out'. Even when knowing it is incorrect.
Literally telling people that have already had a severe adverse reaction to the first dose requiring hospitalization - our guidance says we can't allow you a medical exemption for the second dose - but we do have a trauma room set up in the hospital just for you bc the evidence says that you're unlikely to have another rare event'... Happened to a long time friend of the family - that worked in a rest home.

Anyways the person in question did (lemming) and afaik is presumably still alive, but their long term health, immune system etc - who really knows ?/
