I should get back into fasting. It really is good for you.

Same here. I lost 20 pounds over the summer while fasting. Then broke like a nigger and put some back on with the leftover Halloween candy….

I was doing a bulk that accidentally went into a dirty bulk. Now all my clothes seem to have shrunk in the dryer again.

Will only need to drop a few kg, but intermittent fasting always worked out great for that.

Apparently the 16 hour mark also impairs your spelling abilities?

For anyone who has never done this, the first few days your body sends you starving signals. Right around the 3 day mark is when that hunger signal turns off and just doesn't come back on until some time after you eat something.

It's a hormone named ghrelin and comes and goes in waves. I've been able to quash it with a shot of apple vinegar w/mother. I've found that the first day back to eating you get full real fast but that second and third day is when you want to binge.

The biggest benefit at 72 is the overdrive production of stem cells. These gems are what provide the "immuno reset."

This is what really got me interested in fasting but I can't think of a test that would measure the results.

I fast every day, several times for several hours between meals.

I eat once a day, I don't even consider it a fast unless I skip that meal going 46 hours between, once a week.

Is there anything I should know before attempting 48 hours? I am not overweight. I've also never fasted for more than 16 hours, and even that wasn't intentional.

I get hungry around the 18 hour mark. I chase it away with a shot fo Apple Vinegar with Mother. One 48 hour fast you will be fine. My best advice is when you come off the fast, you're going to want to "make up" for those calories. Finish your first few meals with a tall glass of water before you start adding "one more thing" and a liil dessert and... this is the time you're likely to binge.

I will be attempting my first 5 day fast after I eat today!

Does any amount of calories reset the process?

I wouldn't say the process is reset, you don't go back to your normal Insulin Resistance GH/autography/etc. just because you consume a few calories. Many people advocate it even up to 500 cals a day. I wouldn't call that fasting at all though, that's just eating at an extreme caloric deficit. But back to the point, it does bog down the process while you switch back to a carbolic digestive system until that protein/carb/fat is broken down into insulin and used.

This is what I understand of it, so far and I'm not a medical professional. Maybe ?

Just do what you can, use it as an exercise in self-discipline or whatever you are pursuing. It's your first time, EXPERIMENT, grow, learn.

One more thing I didn't mention is you will be more thirsty.

If you decide to start doing this every week you may want to look into taking more salt, potassium, D3, K2 and Magnesium.

Don't worry about it this time, it's just 48 hours.
