Cholesterol is an essential nutrient. If you’re not getting enough of it in your diet your body has to produce its own and that is sub‐optimal.

The idea that dietary cholesterol is harmful is laughable. You can consume too much of anything, but your body is fine taking the dietary cholesterol it needs and discarding the rest.

Another thing to watch out for with cholesterol is that the common test for the level in your blood is flawed. It tests for the easily detectable kind and estimates the other kind based on that. When it’s wrong it can tell you you have a high level of bad cholesterol even though you’re fine.

Stay the hell away from statins.

I was told years ago by a doc after a test that I have high cholesterol and "it's serous". I felt fine and was healthy so I just ignored it and kept eating loads of eggs, fatty meat and organ meat, lard, cheese and butter while avoiding sugar and flour. Of course I also ate vegetables and fruit, but didn't go crazy with them.

Still healthy and still feeling great.
