You eat 3000 calories a day of bread, rice, fruit, and pasta and you will gain weight rapidly. Eat 3000 calories a day of fat and protein and see if you gain anything.

CICO is true, but not in the way most people imagine. All calories come out one way or another, or they're stored. The thing with eating fat and protein is that there's no insulin to drive fat storage so out those calories go. When you're in ketosis you're literally pissing out fat and even breathing out fat with every breath.

No. Fuck off. CICO determines how that is processed by the body in the end.

Carbs don't contain insulin, your pancreas produces insulin. Also carbs are an energy source, if you need that energy the carbs will be burned as an energy source. If you burn 3000 calories a day and eat 3000 calories of mostly carbs, you'll use those carbs and store zero as fat. If you burn 3000 calories a day and eat 3000 calories of only fat and protein you'll use that protein and fat and store zero as fat. The only difference is the process used for energy. For fat it's ketogenesis. If you eat more protein than your body can use in any given period of time your body will use a process called gluconeogenesis to convert the protein into glucose to be used in whichever manner dictated by need.

Yes, and only when you eat carbs. Without carbs there's not enough insulin to initiate triglyceride storage in adipose tissue. Biology. How does it work?

The difference between the two is when you don't burn 3000 calories with activity. The carbs will deposit as fat and the fat/protein will not.

and the fat/protein will not.

False.
