Anyone stupid enough to register their garden deserves to starve. Remember when stores pulled seeds off the shelves, even in "essential businesses" during Cohen 19?
USDA in 2yrs: "You gotta license for those green beans? I noticed you didn't pay your crop tax last year so we'll be foreclosing your back yard and turning it into a shelter for underprivildged drug addicts"
Sorry; I lost my garden in an unfortunate boating accident.
Why does the USDA want you to add your local vegetable garden to a national database?
Same reason they want you to register your guns: they plan on coming after you at some point. I'm not giving the government any information voluntarily because it's always used against you. It wouldn't surprise me if they made growing food illegal. Or they want to know where they can steal vegetables when the infrastructure collapses. These fucks are our enemy. The sooner the sheep realize it, the better off society will be.
Fuck you USDA!
People who garden, typically are independent individuals who don't require government assistance. The government would surely like this list.
It would not at all surprise me if they start to monitor garden-related purchases made with credit/debit and or online transactions if they do not do this in secret already. The garden registry is likely to gather the info on those who will actually comply (easy targets with a consistent food source for the taking). I agree with you, and I would not willingly give any info either; the fable of the grasshopper and the ant comes to mind. If you work hard while those assholes choose to slack, then by all means they can starve.
Murderous fucking assholes.
Carbon footprint and equity taxes and adjustments. "Come on," they say, "we just want to know who's using an unfair amount of rainwater and who to blame for this excessive nitrogen runoff. It's only a few inspections and forms per year. You'll hardly notice the drones and surveyors. Our 10% is a pittance for peace of mind that you're on the right side of this pesky climate issue. It'd be a shame if someone were to report that gasoline-powered lawn equipment..."
I'll give you my zucchini when you pry it from my cold dead hands
I'd like to see their definition of vegetable garden.
My definition is Washington, D.C.
A number of folks have a great deal of experience planting clandestine gardens on federal and state lands.
Save your seeds. They might come in handy.
