It was reported IIRC in the journals of the Lewis & Clark Expedition that each man ate 8lbs of meat per day when possible. Not that it has anything to do with longevity per se, but shows eating meat will get the most physical of work done. Imagine the quality of the wild meat then. I can’t imagine eating that much meat in a day myself, but then again I’ve never had to bust my ass 24/7 like those fukrs did either.
