Suffered from cluster headaches and severe migraines when younger.

Single dose of "mushroom tea" cured the cluster headaches and dramatically lowered incidents of migraines.

As I understand it most psychedelics induce rapid neurogenesis which is what causes the hallucinations and the lingering effect allows the brain to function more efficiently as an organ but I suspect too much or too frequent neurogenesis would have a counter productive effect.

Well-functioning adults manage their vices. If they don't, it leads to bad effects.

In this case, too many/much psychedelics can have an obvious effect seen in many "hippies" and the like. A well-functioning person however may partake once or twice a year and have good benefits from doing so.

Properly managing intake goes for any drug, including food.

Viagra can work too, seriously

study will be buried, phama makes too much money off its SSRI's

I always wondered about this. It's this gut feeling they put out little studies in order to get people taking shit they shouldn't.

That the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of Good and evil is a shroom.

Youve never taken them, have you?

[–] 0 pt

Nope. But seeing a lot of stories of late pushing them

[–] 0 pt

Theyre not addictive and theyre not gonna hurt ya. Worst case scenario, you have a memorable experience. I recommend anybody thats not a mentally unbalanced nutjob give them a try at least once.

The fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is moral subjectivity and its consequences. God never told adam and eve to clothe their nakedness, they decided to do this to hide their parts on their own, the invented extraneous and subjective morality. Whether the fruit is metaphorical or not it doesn't matter because the effect was the same. Postmodernism is the seed of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, our plight today goes back to original sin.

Yeah, no shit. Mushrooms are amazing, everyone should be eating them. At the very least, people on their death beds. Numerous cases of people eating them & gently accepting their demise & passing in complete peace. These things are medicine, & they have effects on us for a reason. ... They are also illegal for a reason.

If one is worried about the law, don't forget about Amanita Muscaria mushrooms. Legal (depending on your location, probably) & may help you in a similar way to psilocybin. I highly recommend getting them from Washington.

Imagine having a bad trip while you are legit dying

Hahaha well at least it would take your mind off it, I suppose.

This has been known since at least the 50's. Not well known since it would get in the way of profits.

Because surely we need more "medicinal" drug usage, right? Can't have the masses getting pissed off can we?

[–] 0 pt

if being unvaxxed is a mental health issue than this will spread like wild fire

How is use of psilocybin related to beliefs in aliens, flat Earth, ghosts etc?

Encounters with people using psychedelic substances have given me a strong belief that those types of things seem to fuck with a persons ability to think hyper-rationally, they start to believe in all kinds of garbage, it's like parts of their rationality permanently dies.

Maybe they are happier, but at what price? We need more retards, really?

Many people use drugs as self medication. Same with the correlation of weed use and schizophrenia: reefer madness people say that the drug causes the illness, but weed is used by schizophrene people to tame the inner voices.

[–] 0 pt

Weed exacerbates latent schizophrenia, and can make it worse, so do stimulants like Adderall

I've seen the opposite. I convinced a cute crazy and sometimes schizo young women to stop with the weed. A year later she couldn't keep her voices under control and went into a clinic, now she is destroyed by pharma.

Until now I've seen only studies about correlation. Many try to explain why one causes another, but nobody has found the mechanisms - most likely because they search for a causation that is not there. Maybe they should try to explain how being stoned can help making inner voices less urgent and demanding.

Rationality isn't killed, psychedelics cause neurogenesis but not in the purely rational parts of the brain, so the "weight" of your rational thinking is displaced by new neural pathways.

It's good for problem solving in that it helps abstract thinking but do it too much and you become spacey because too much of your brain is under developed and focused on abstractions. A few good trips are probably good for a person especially when they plateau or get stuck in life. But a hobby of it is a terrible idea that will see your rational mind totally displaced.

They were sold as aromatherapy bags (Duftkissen) for a while, here in Yurop. You were not allowed to open them and eat the contents. :)

I heard it also cures covid psychosis banned in 3......2.......1

"Groundbreaking." They were doing experiments with psychedelics in mental health therapy in the Fifties, but the ever-increasing golem of the War on Drugs had all that research tossed in the garbage because "drugs are bad, m'kay?"

Not ALL drugs, mind you, just the ones that open your mind to new ways of thought and shine a light on your decision-making processes, for some reason the Elites of the Sixties and Seventies thought that those drugs were a bad idea but the ones that just get you fucked up were a great idea and super therapeutic.

That's why today almost everybody is on some kind of Uppers or Downers or Tranquilizers. Because those sort of put a band-aid on a mental health problem, but where's the money in actually curing the sick when you can perpetually bandage them instead?
