Once you warn someone how something works, then they watch it play out exactly like you said, that can potentially be a life changing event.
I only say potentially because if the indoctrination is too deep they’ll rationalize what they’re seeing, as basically, “This is anything but the fact that I’ve been hoodwinked.”
