years ago that showering daily was a thing. Back in my grandparents era (and we’re from NYC), a lot of people used to take like 3 or 4 showers a week and then take whore’s baths for the rest of the week.
You shouldn’t always shower with very hot water because that can dry your skin. Also, I used to wash my hair every single day and as I got older, because my hair is so thick, it caused very bad, ketatinized dandruff and infections from extreme dryness. I give myself a day or two off of the hair. As far as showers go, I still do it every day, but I rotate between body soaps and if one day is not a work day or is a loaf at home day, I may only use soap on pits, balls, ass and feet and let my natural oils replenish elsewhere to avoid dryness and irritation.
There are actually a handful of Hollywood actors who are famous for not showering for weeks and being ripe. I have to wonder if this is for ostensible health reasons, because they’re on drugs and the drugs have priority over hygiene, or if they’re such sociopaths that they have a low regard for others and offending them and walking around with real-life cartoon stench lines emanating from them is their big “fuck you” to the world.
