which caused him to go into respiratory failure and life-threatening cardiogenic shock, where his heart was unable to pump enough blood to his vital organs.
My dad had a metastatic tumor where the aorta bends downwards(I think that’s what it’s called, the big one at the top and bends down). It filled the entire gap except a millimeter or two.
At anytime it could’ve grown and he may have gotten symptoms but the doctor said it would more then likely just be fatal, no warnings, just dead.
Over the course of 4 years that thing never grew, other tumors came and went, some grew and chemo and his special cocktail would knock them down. But that thing never did anything, I even asked the doctor if it was actually a tumor and it was. He had a pet scan done and confirmed it but it wasn’t as bright as the others for some reason and it was semi dormant.
I worried about that thing all the time, in the end a doctors mistake and me not paying close enough attention killed him from sepsis. What a slow way to go, 3 months and 2 hospital stays one 2 weeks and then again for 3 where he never fully recovered and came home to hospice basically in a coma and slowly withered away.
Now I believe the aorta one would’ve been more merciful. It would’ve been sudden but better.
I feel bad for these people, at least the ones who were fooled and not any of the liberal ones.
