This is an illness often resulting in pulmonary disease and or fever present throughout the western United States due to an endemic fungus in the soil.
It typically strikes in the fall, when an early rain is followed by more drought, but can be exacerbated by wind, construction and even earthquakes.
Incubation period: 1 to 3 weeks
Disease may persist for a month or more, with occasional permanent effects depending on severity of infection.
Recommend course of action is to avoid dust and high winds, as well as supplementing with immune boosting mushrooms such as reishi.

If you have lived here in the valley you’ve had this already.

It kills.

I live in AZ and this is something I can get. Dogs can get it too.

Fuck I dont have any sources, but I watched a news segment like in 2005 that showed. That a veterinarian in Flagstaff? found a cure for valley fever in dogs and cats, and he believes it will work on humans.

However because valley fever only happens in the south west, it was not profitable for any of the drug companies to do testing. Even if it worked they didnt care.
