Definitely see an eye doctor, and an ear doctor.
Also a chiropractor. You may also need some X-rays.
Check for infection and swelling.
So, your brain keeps balance from a variety of signal inputs, of which sight is only one. Hearing affects it. Signals from your spinal column affect it. If the signals don't match up as they are expected to, you can get vertigo. It's very dangerous, especially while operating motor vehicles at highway speeds, etc.
Swelling from spinal injury, or say arthritis, especially in the neck, can give you vertigo. An ear infection can give you vertigo. There are other causes.
The good new is, if you can isolate the cause, you can often work past it and get somewhat back to normal, if not a full recovery.
I don't think smoking pot would affect it at all. Maybe really strong pot, I don't know.
Eat anything funny lately?
Got vaccinated?
Getting enough sleep?
This happened to a girl I know about ten years ago after returning from a camping trip. Apparently they were out canoeing on the lake for hours. Paddling a canoe is not something she normally does, so she was using neck and upper shoulder muscles that haven't been used in decades. Well, that was enough for two weeks of vertigo. I had to drive her around all day:)
And no to the VAX. The physiologist also said some who are vaxxed are experiencing this. I asked if I'm required to be vaxxed before him seeing me and he said no. Thank god. Then I went into a bit of a rant on the reactions. Seemed to agree with me.
Went Kayaking with my son last weekend. So the canoe story was interesting. Ate a chicken burger and some fries. Smoked a big fatty and relaxed on the couch. Then boom. I don't think it's an infection because I just spoke with a physiologist and he said if the spinning stops about 15 seconds after looking up, it's the inner ear. If not, then more serious like an infection. It's stops quickly after looking up. Tried the half somersault maneuver and that seems to help somewhat. I'll have to keep doing it all day.
But the pot. My tinnitus goes into overdrive every time I smoke and I feel there must be a correlation. Ringing in the right ear and that's where my vertigo is coming from.
Tinnitus might do it - I know for a fact Kayaking can. So, no pot and no paddling, see if you don't fully recover in a couple of days.
Get some sleep and relax. That's the fastest path to healing.
If it persists, you want to get stuff inspected.
