And there it is, he refused their help then months later overdosed. Sad, but not the ER's fault in any way, shape, or form.

Shit, the more I read the worse this story gets. He went to rehab, he'd been prescribed suboxone, what more can they do? I've done work in rehabs and it is tragic. The families want the patients to get better but the patients keep relapsing because they like getting high. It's not uncommon for these guys to go to rehab so many times that insurance just flat-out refuses to pay. It's not like we can pay for each of these addicts to have a team of people following them around smacking the needles out of their arms.
