i had symptoms for 9 months: fatigue, heat intolerance, sweating, inflammation, nerve pain in my spine, hip, leg, and foot, and bell's palsy for 6 weeks.
a neurologist ordered a blood test for lyme disease. the igg western blot test was positive. a general practitioner prescribed doxycycline.
so far, i've taken 3 doses. already, there's been a decrease of symptoms. there's noticeably less inflammation in my face and the back of my head and neck.
i hope symptoms don't recur after the course of doxycycline.

I have a lot of those symptoms but it may be from working hard. Would a Lyme disease test be frivolous if I have a low chance of actually having it?

Testing isn't frivolous, it's your life and health and it has value

Low chance???? LOL The CDC Lyme numbers, at least where I am, are written to encourage tourism, not reflect reality. They say there is no risk. Neighbors report having had cases.

i don't know what physicians think about the lyme disease test. some doctors would order the test, if you ask. some doctors wouldn't. you know? i don't know how much the test cost. from what i read, between $100 and $500. several websites say $200.
