i had symptoms for 9 months: fatigue, heat intolerance, sweating, inflammation, nerve pain in my spine, hip, leg, and foot, and bell's palsy for 6 weeks.
a neurologist ordered a blood test for lyme disease. the igg western blot test was positive. a general practitioner prescribed doxycycline.
so far, i've taken 3 doses. already, there's been a decrease of symptoms. there's noticeably less inflammation in my face and the back of my head and neck.
i hope symptoms don't recur after the course of doxycycline.

thanks for the info. the spine and foot pain was unbearable, at times. now, my foot has some numbness. it's not bad. but i'm glad to read that the nerves can possibly regenerate.
