I just started IF last week and was thinking about making a post soon reporting on my progress as time goes on. I'm combining it with a calisthenics program where I do short 5-10 bursts of exercise periodically throughout the day. This accomodates my work schedule better than trying to complete full 30 min to 1 hour workouts.
I have the typical ectomorph body type and have gone the convential lift heavy and eat all the things with protein route in the past and didn't like the result. I felt sluggish all the time and while I did get a lot stronger and the number on the scale went up, I just felt terrible and looked fat. The protein farts were the killer for me though. Like Pumba, no one wanted to stand downwind of me. My goal is to obtain the lower bodyfat Brad Pitt Fight Club look rather than a bulkier bodybuilder look. I think this is a more obtainable goal for my body type.
With only a limited number of days in I can report that it seems to be working well. Even with only a few workouts and 5/7 days successfully fasting, I'm starting to regain definintion in my abs and chest. I feel great too. A lot more energy and motivation, but that could be the new workout/diet high speaking. We'll see how I feel in a few weeks.
