They say cramps are caused by dehydration so overnight I must have downed about half a gallon of water and an oz of salt .. nothing worked, some say mixed with water will bring results, I tried that and obtained limited success though I had none yesterday .. anyone know of other treatments or preventative measures ??

Back when I did CrossFit, I found epsom salt soaks quite helpful. Also, I used heating pads under my desk at work and those helped too. Don’t forget good old fashion Tylenol and Advil. I also recall having some success with creatine.

I’m not sure how old you are or how bad the pain is but when you can, make sure you exercise again because you gotta get the blood moving. I don’t really work out like I used to a decade ago but I think I recall that lactic acid accumulates and you need to release it to make the pain go away and one of the fastest ways to do that is to work out again. But ... that will hurt.

And yes staying hydrated is super important but it sounds like you have that covered.

Remember day 2 is the most painful day!

Good luck!
