This is a paradigm shift that you will have trouble believing. Your doctors and the entire health community has been lying to us for ever.

If you want more info find Dr. Jason Fung or KenDBerrymd on the various platforms. They explain Keto and fat and diabetes best. IMO

Insulin, as said, is a key for all your energy using cells to uptake glucose. Which, protein and fat will be turned into as well. Without insulin you will die.

You're not just wrong, you're delusional, and have been lied to or tricked by someone who wants to most likely sell you a book, supplement or program.

If you eat too many carbohydrates you will develop insulin resistance... diabetes

you are trying too hard

That's only true for people who constantly over eat and over flood their system. To do that you'll be hundreds of pounds over weight. Otherwise anyone who eats a candy bar would be diabetic. As well, that tolerance in most, but not all, type 2 diabetics can be reversed with time and proper eating habits. Much like reducing the tolerance to alcohol or other items.

Nicotine also causes Insulin Resistance instantly... Nicotine causes a spike in glucose in the blood stream, (because it metabolizes fat- that stored up glucose) Insulin is activated to get the glucose in the blood stream to normal levels. - BUT nicotine inhibits the release of insulin to combat the high blood sugar levels

This is why people get diseases from smoking, has nothing to do with tobacco. It is about the delicate balance of Insulin and Glucose. This balance of Glucose and Insulin is the key to health.
When this balance is overworked and burdened all the diseases will manifest: Obesity, Inflammation, cancer, Alzheimers, Diabetes, Glaucoma etc...

So I do not understand why you want to lie to people about the importance of curbing the eating of carbohydrates/glucose. Do you want people to be sick?
