That's only true for people who constantly over eat and over flood their system. To do that you'll be hundreds of pounds over weight. Otherwise anyone who eats a candy bar would be diabetic. As well, that tolerance in most, but not all, type 2 diabetics can be reversed with time and proper eating habits. Much like reducing the tolerance to alcohol or other items.

Nicotine also causes Insulin Resistance instantly... Nicotine causes a spike in glucose in the blood stream, (because it metabolizes fat- that stored up glucose) Insulin is activated to get the glucose in the blood stream to normal levels. - BUT nicotine inhibits the release of insulin to combat the high blood sugar levels

This is why people get diseases from smoking, has nothing to do with tobacco. It is about the delicate balance of Insulin and Glucose. This balance of Glucose and Insulin is the key to health.
When this balance is overworked and burdened all the diseases will manifest: Obesity, Inflammation, cancer, Alzheimers, Diabetes, Glaucoma etc...

So I do not understand why you want to lie to people about the importance of curbing the eating of carbohydrates/glucose. Do you want people to be sick?

First, don't pull your reddit tier bull shit of asking a stupid question at the end of your post. The only sic person here is you in the head. Second, this is half truth and manipulated information. The reason nicotine is an problem is because of its interaction with your nicotinic receptors. Smoking tobacco, has everything to do with smoking tobacco. Insulin is activated in response to an increase in blood sugar concentration, in the form of XX mg/dL. If your sugar is low then the alpha cells of the pancreas are activated to release glucogon to release stored glycogen. Your body does a very good job maintaining your homeostatic balance. If you eat nothing but meat, you'll still have glucose and insulin production.

And as far as fat is concerned, it's only a matter of calories if you care about losing weight. Eat less energy than the body needs in a day, it'll pull from energy stores and you'll lose weight. You can do that eating nothing but hot pockets and mountain dew. Again, talking about just the loss of stored fat.

Nicotine causes Glucose spike, inhibits the insulin... Therefore smokers are in a state of insulin resistance with the first Puff... I know, this is difficult to understand.. I mean a 15 year old figured this one out.. But the doctors would have you believe something far different...
