Just water and a scalp comb every day. They're right, about how the dirtiness/greasiness settles out to no more than it was when using products,. Actually the hair felt more normal and healthy.
But man, did I have recurring ingrown hairs. They don't warn you much about that, and I definitely used that scalp comb. Took about another year back on products to get the ingrown hair spots to go away. I guess skin on the head doesn't heal as quickly.
So there you go

I discovered it on a long camping trip. My hair got oily at first but after a couple of weeks of water only to clear dust, the glands quit over-producing oil and my head felt fine. I've been doing it for years with no problems.
