Hopeless? Not in the least, I simply see them as reactionary tactics, at best stop, gap measures, and ultimately ineffective without an overall multi-generational strategy. Hundreds of families could home school their children, but it'll be dwarfed by the tens of thousands who private school, who in turn are dwarfed by the tens of millions in public school. Those millions will be the useful idiots the establishment elite herd into the machine to serve their ends. They're becoming the school teachers, both public and private, as well as the creators of home schooling content.

Like I said, we're clearly agreed that porn is bad and that degenerates are producing it. You think a ban will work, but can offer no example to support it. I disagree and can point at the drug war and the previous alcohol ban in the US to highlight its ineffectiveness.
A moratorium lasting several years, while not perfect, would be best. It allows communities to come to their own conclusions on the matter without government interference and allows the government to come up with policies that don't give them more power over us than they have already. In the end, those who control themselves will ultimately benefit, those who don't, won't.
