Ok, I got a question
Do most 'Polynesians' share a common culture? How similar are their languages?
I only asked because I was looking up 'Moana II', trying to figure out whether the character Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson played was actually based in mythology or not.
Turns out he was based off of a trickster folk-hero named Māui, who apparently is spoken about from NZ to Hawaii to Tahiti.
But I read this off of Wikipedia, which I do not trust. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C4%81ui
So, do most Polynesian Islands share a similar language and mythology? Or am I retarded?
