Ezekiel 36 clearly describes the Jews of the time as being not only bad but unworthy of being restored as God will only cleanse and restore them to uphold his name. There's a lot of very important related questions involved such as who is and isn't an actual Jew? Take a look at any biblical linage, there's many, always father's bloodline? Wait a minute, most modern Jews trace their Jewishness through their mothers linage now, what's up with that? Looks like there's a good chance that most modern Jews on a case by case basis aren't even bloodline Jews as at some point in time Satan tricked them into following their mothers bloodline. Too bad that probably means that on an individual basis most who call themselves Jews probably are not actually a part of that Covenant with God. Also note that Ezekiel 36 clearly states that Israel will become a laughing stock, not the case at the moment but they will be made to be fools to their neighbors. It also shows that there's going to be some destruction going on with Israel taking some significant damage, sounds like they will be near extinction. Some of their neighbors will be destroyed as well while other neighbors will be left victorious to laugh at them. For me this indicates simply that I shouldn't get hyped up when these things start happening as I already know the outcome more or less, no use in supporting a side. With God's view of the Jews currently being so negative I don't think it is problematic to share that sentiment as it is accurate.
Please do note that They do have their red heifers (christianity.com) needed to clean their priests and build the temple, that's not to say these heifers will continue to be without blemish until that time. It sounds to me like they'd need to be slaughtered next March although I could be wrong and they could do it next month.
