Yeah, I did realize the significance of protesting, more pissed off, at a Nixon appearance with my draft card in my wallet.
The kids that died at Kent State though were really bystanders, just curious kids. There was a small group of agitators but for the most part just college kids, some caught up in the moment of knowing Vietnam was wrong.
I don't know if the war was wrong...I thought it was justified.
But the way that they carried it out seemed like they wanted to just train moronic officers for a future fight.
We could have easily won the war IMO.
I agree to an extent, but I have no desire to revisit that all over again.
I'll simply say the politics overwhelmed all other considerations, and had they not it would have ended both differently and quicker.
