Wait for your result to be entered into the database 9. Finally go to a gun store and have the dealer verify you in the database 10. Undergo another background check. 11. Pay the taxes, including Colorado’s 6.5 percent excise tax 12. Wait 3 days before taking the firearm home Oh, and did I mention that most of this isn't set up and ready to go yet? I can't tell you how many people are just now finding out about this. They've asked me what they can do to stop it. My answer is, they should have helped us fight last year when we were desperately asking people for help.
