Assuming the definition for non-violent isn't gimped, I'm okay with this. Or even having violent felons whose terms are completed. Having a population of people who are unable to defend themselves, especially when the police aren't doing very well at policing, doesn't sit well with me.
On the other hand, the justice system really needs to step up. If people are truly dangerous they shouldn't be released, ever.

For once, it is working as intended. Non-violent means non-violent. But don't rest easy, there are still some other ways that your arms can be seized.
