The bill, HB24-1292, would prohibit the sale, purchase, transfer, import and manufacture of so-called “assault weapons” in Colorado. The measure’s definition of those firearms includes semi-automatic rifles and pistols with fixed large-capacity magazines or that have the ability to accept detachable magazines, along with several other types of high-powered firearms."

The 2nd Amendment doesn't mean that one must be a member of the militia in order to posses a firearm, it means that the militia cannot exist without the individuals right to own a firearm...

Yeah. They also tried to ban militia's too... That did not go in their favor. As well as any kind of "organized training".

But! They want to force you to take classes/training and get certified to own a gun.. Which would be a catch 22 since it would be illegal to take those classes and to get training/certification...
