I am of the opinion that these people should all be sent to a country that has stripped their citizens of gun ownership, without a security detail and they are required to live there for at least 1 year.

Not in a villa, not in a secure compound.. In the cities where crime is a normal part of daily life...

Then they can decide if they wished they had a gun.. But they wont get a chance. They will probably be dead in the first month at best.

No one in the world knows what happens when you tell 350 million people with over 400 million guns and over a trillion rounds of ammunition to be forced to disarm.
