I can agree that felons get guns far too often. I can not agree that additional laws would stop, or even lower that rate in any way. Felons are known, not to follow laws. Making the penalty's stiffer on straw purchases, I am good with. Fuckers shouldn't be giving criminals guns. I have a large issue with the 72 hour waiting period "for suicide cool off" If you really look at actual suicides. Suicides are often meticulously planned. Which points away from compulsive suicide. I don't personally have a problem with a 72 hr wait in most cases. I have bought guns online, and you are stuck waiting then. Then again, I already own most of what I want for right now. I am in the market for a new 12 gauge though. But that shit can be built from 3/4 pipe if really needed. So no apocalypse rush or anything. I'll probably buy online. I would not vote for a 72 hour wait law though. I would not vote for a straw purchase penalty increase. I would not vote the government one single iota more restrictive power than they have been given.
