The sole "smart" gun I've seen that isnt complete garbage is the Biofire, and that's a niche use case of a dedicated nightstand gun for people who're concerned about unauthorized household users. E.g. if you have a felon living in the home, are running a home-based daycare, etc it'd be a solid upgrade over "no gun" or "gun locked in a safe". It's not something I'd carry because that isnt my niche, but it'd the closest thing I've seen to *functional*. Every other "smart gun" is a good way to get yourself killed and objectively inferior to a traditional firearm.
