So hypothetically.. whats the correct way to handle the situation where an asshole is firing his rifle (or even just generally disturbing the public) at 10pm.. If we're talking about a white neighbor who might be somewhat reasonable.. do what this guy did? Ask politely (or maybe not so politely)? Anyone else assume best action is to not say anything and make a call to the police? Lets say you didn't handle the initial confrontation correctly.. the asshole is walking across the street toward your home with a firearm at his side. Legally it seems you don't have a solid self defense claim yet to blast him..? Lock doors (doors should be locked at 10pm anyway), get family to a safe room, get weapons and gear ready for the fucker in case he's a complete lunatic.. what am I missing?
