I used to be a voting age cosmopolitan who had 1980's liberal leanings. Fringe forums and an inquisitive nature are what allowed me to wake up. Others will too with age, as long as there is freedom of speech on the internet. They have to curtail that too, which is why "hate speech" laws exist in so many countries. From personal experience, educating your children outside of the public school system is one of the most important things you can do to make the world a better place.
