Yep. I went to a nearly all white high school where many a kid had a gun rack with a riffle in the back of their truck and no one cared. This wasn't lost generations ago, it was less than 25 years.

How quickly getting kiked over and "diversified" destroys things. Given a choice right now today would you send your kid to an all white school that you know for a fact half the kids have guns in their trucks every day or a "gun free zone" school with lots of "diversity?" It's not even something you would even kinda stop to think about.

And many of the teachers were veterans who'd gotten their degrees through the GI Bill.

There was still an indoor range in the basement of my high school and up until the 60's the junior ROTC had a safe in there with a couple M1 Garands, M1903 Springfields, a BAR, an M1A1 Thompson, an M3, and an M1 carbine in it for mechanical training and familiarization fire. They were removed when 60's radicals started stealing guns from armories. jews ruin everything.

You want to motivate some teenage boys? Tell them that if they can discipline themselves they'll get to learn to shoot machineguns from guys who'd done it for real. My dad was one of the students at that time and we had pics somewhere. By the time I went there, it was all gone but the range, that was used for storage.

My deceased father was in the junior rifle club in High School, I have his pack, badges and some of his gear. That was from around 1951. Rifle Club wasn't offered when I was in High School +/-25 years later.

I recall having shooting class as a high school phy ed option. We were able to shoot 22 short rounds in the gymnasium (with an appropriate backstop).

Someone in the class of '81 f'ed things up and the class was discontinued.

Yeah, over here in NZ it was still an optional hobby club at High school in the early 80's, i took it - the HS woodwork teacher (who was an avid hunter) ran it . It was in the motor pool shed (a double wide garage, with the school vans moved out and a backstop inside with the schools concrete block wood bins directly against the outerside)

EDIT: For 'reasons' it also was discontinued soon after, iirc.
