I didn't mean to imply you haven't had the experience, how the hell would I know?!, but anyone who hasn't developed respect for guns might foolishly think Boebert meant getting drunk and shooting guns. We are talking about an elected official who packs heat in the House Chambers. She respects guns and is fully trained on how to use them properly. Unfortunately what she said will be misconstrued by those people through their own stupidity lack of understanding. She could have phrased it a little better to avoid any misunderstanding.
Thanks for the clarification. That, I completely agree with….I don’t know much about her, but the post definitely comes off as l”let’s get drunk and shoot!” Maybe it’s because I grew up around rednecks who would do that….

Me too, back in the '60s-70's they were more prevalent, I think, at least in my experience. I don't remember anyone getting shot though.
I was more 80s and 90s, and didn't know any rednecks that got shot either. the only instances i knew of were the early-teen pothead kids playing with a dad's gun. The rednecks....they just seemed to skate by.... good ole boys had some intelligence despite their "hey ya'll; watch this" attitude.
