Maybe instead of blaming gunmakers for making a product, how about the mayors conduct statistical analysis and find out what characteristics the gun criminals have in common? Also, spend some time determining where and when the mojority of gun crimes are being commited in their cities. How about the mayors beef up their police forces and allow appropriate profiling to reduce crime? How about the mayors more strategically place their forces to allow for quicker response and give their forces all the technology and support they need to do their job?
Or is this just all about publicity and useless gestures?
