this is one of those weird language things. My permit is a "weapons permit", it allows me to Carry, concealed or open (among other things). But it is commonly known as a "concealed permit"... it's like Kleenex, a brand name that's used to describe all facial tissues.

I always have to LOL at the "demonstrate proficiency, go through criminal, mental health checks, be on a list... oh, but we don't trust you on busses or near schools". Fucking most law abiding people on record, and you think THEY are the ones who'll be the problem? Well, I suppose there will have to be a First time.... eventually.
