Yeah except reaction speed is one of the biggest victims of aging. The reaction speed of a 68 year old is just not even close to that of someone in their 20s and 30s and that is a massive handicap. Doesn't matter how good of a shot you are or what you are packing, you wont even be off the couch by the time they are through the door and in your living room.
Wanna try...
Nope, I wish you well of your home defense. But I would be a shitty person if I didn't try at least once to point out a glaring hole in your plan. You would be better off planning around your handicap than pretending you have the same advantages a twenty year old has, but again best of luck to ya.
What glaring hole? Other than my age, what do you know about me? The only glaring hole I see is the one in your assumptions. You know nothing of my training or my other security measures besides my firearms.
Apparently, you have never heard the term, "home field advantage." One doesn't have to be faster if his opponent is walking into a trap... Why are you assuming that I am not taking everything into account? If you underestimate everyone as you have me, you may find yourself in an early grave. I hope you have your affairs in order...
I suspect you are a 20 something liberal that has never even fired a weapon. MEN do not go soft and Slow is exactly how every target is destroyed.
No I am a 30 something veteran who is a realist. You are bananas if you truly believe that reaction time doesn't decrease with age. Unlike your physical condition which you can maintain with effort, reaction speed steadily declines with age. I wish I had the same reaction time I had even ten years ago, no one does though.
