Like the snake culling in India.

The Indian government introduced a bounty on the snakes.

Indians started breeding the snakes to collect the bounties.

Government cancels the program due to massive fraud.

Indians release all of their homegrown snakes.

The bounty program resulted in India having more cobras, in the long run.

There's a lesson, there, relative to gun buyback schemes.

Unfortunately, all AR15s here are registered with the government. So, you can't print lowers and turn them in. (No previous record of them existing.)

So, they will collect the few rifles in the country that are restricted and registered, and the millions that aren't registered will go underground. Like they always have. Like they always do.

They will go into closets and be sold/handed down to people who don't have a license. They will be stolen and not reported to police because they are banned.

So, thanks to the government trying to confiscate and control these rifles.... they will lose all control of them entirely. And all the people who supported law enforcement here now see them as the enemy.
