I think the key thing about the Amish is the family first concept, no interpreting, living off of the land and being independent. Definitely the ideal lifestyle. Edit- I reread this and what I meant by no interpreting is that if you don't speak the language of the land you are in it's only semi acceptable if you are passing through or visiting. Knowing and speaking the language of a country should be MANDATORY if you want to live there. Talk about being a rude fuck. Learn the official language or get out.
