Lefties ARE correct when they say that “No one hunts with an AR-15!” This is true. Few people hunt with them.

LOTS of people hunt with ARs. Either in 223 for coyotes, hogs, and larger rounds like 450 bushmaster for deer.

Seen these points before, and they're not entirely accurate. Semantics time:

That depends entirely on what kind of triggerpack and or sear is installed; the original AR-15 was select fire, modern civilian models are not. "Some are, most aren't" is more apt.

See previous answer. Furthmore, there is no difference between an AR-15 and M-16/M-4 aside from military designation and aforementioned triggerpacks, auto sears, and particular cosmetic/functional setups. All M-designated rifles are AR-15s, but not all AR-15s are military pattern with designation.

For the average idiot, the original explanations are sufficient, albeit somewhat untrue.
