So show me the supporting stats - How many guns used to commit crimes were purchased through the current, inadequate legal processes?
Hell it should be constitutionally anyone that is not in prison can have a gun. Hell during the decades when there were driveby shootings "gangs were put there and likely paid to keep neighborhood criminally high in stats". If everyone on a street like that owned a gun then the gang car would have been seen and phone calls made. So the first bullet fired, then neighbors all turn that car into swiss cheese with 50 rifles that can get a line of sight firing all at once till clip emptied then the gang problem and crime itself dies from honest workers taking the problem and solving it with gun powder and steel taking care of it then the police just need to drink coffee while the bodies are taken care of "aka hole in ground covered with grass in a backyard.
