As opposed to living where?
Can you buy fully automatic guns in any state? Can you own bump stocks in any state? Does any state not "tax" property you "own"? Does any state not force you to pay "insurance" on some things that you "own"? Is there any state in which you do not need written permission from the government to be allowed to operate a vehicle, or to hunt, or to fish, or engage in any number of other activities?
You act as if NY and CA are the only states with absurd and unconstitutional restrictions of rights and freedoms. They're not. They're just ahead of the curve. And everything they're doing is coming to wherever you are as well. And more. It's just a matter of time.
Because those who are against it only ever walk away from the problem. Without giving those who push for it a reason not to follow.
Walking away from problems is a coward's virtue.
Are those the only two options that come to your mind? Run away, or bend over and take it?
Are you so domesticated, and conditioned into compliance, that you aren't able to even conceive of anything else?
Tell me, how did your enemies gain so much power over you? By walking away? By accepting? By doing what was "honorable"?
NYC is home to far more blue collar people than rich people. People with families, careers, etc. who just can't pack up and leave. I know many who have done exactly that and even more who plan to as soon as they can make it work.
The big issue i NYC increases and uses taxes as a weapon to force subserviency. People leaving? Increase taxes across the board. NJ does the same shit every time there's an exodus of people living, they will fucking cripple their own citizenry to keep them enslaved
NY, NJ, CT are all the same. Driving out the very people who support the economy then raising taxes on those who are still there.
Rinse. Repeat.
