It's just about at the freezing mark, so some is melting.
And, it's just the sick fucks there that probably don't wash their hands and whatnot. Masks are mandatory, but I've seen just one other person use the hand sanitizer. I try to remember to sanitize my hands on the way in and on the way out, but there's still plenty of germs being picked up.
This wasn't a problem before the pandemic. I spent more time in and around people, so I had a pretty good immune system. These days, I don't have nearly as much of a social life.
I don't tend to get all that sick. It's usually the same - the following day, sometimes two days, pretty much my whole body just hurts - ague is a good way to describe it. It's like a low-grade fever. In fact, it is a low grade fever and it's just a couple of days.
It's still fucking annoying.
Amusingly, I appear to be just fine this time around.
It does suck when you do not feel up to your normal standards.
The femur's a bit grumpy, but I'm used to that. That has nothing to do with the dirty people who visit pain management/Suboxone treatment programs. That's from spending about 4 hours in a car and some of those hours with some pretty spirited driving - inasmuch as you can drive an antique Volvo in a spirited manner.
An old Volvo does not invoke images of spirited driving in my mind
