I find that's more probable if I'm drinking!
I forget when I drink. I don't even have to drink that much and I'll forget if I took my meds or whatnot. This is especially true with my sleep meds. The thing is, I've been on 'em for four years - going on five years. I still don't remember to take them - or if I have taken them. I sometimes end up doubling up and crashing pretty quickly. They drop my blood pressure so I can't walk. I stand up and I get light headed. So, I've gotta be well-prepared to take 'em.
That is exactly when it happens. When I am drinking.
A lot of times when we were drinking and jamming and I go to listen the next day or so, I expect the music to sound terrible. Especially if we got really, really drunk. Half the time I am pleasantly surprised by what I hear, it is much better than I expect
I am not in the habit of recording myself or jam sessions, regardless of inebriation levels. I generally only record when I sit down specifically to do so.
I tried to record some sound from my new guitar the other day. I would sit here playing one of my songs through before I hit the record button, and I would play it flawlessly, with a groove and a swing and it sounded great. Then I hit record, and within 5 seconds of playing I fucked up. Every fucking time. I think I should have just got drunk
