It does 0 to 60 in about 3.5 days, but once you get it up to speed it's not too bad.
Actually, I've never timed it. I'd say it's somewhere between 12 and 15 seconds to go from 0 to 60. So, it's not as bad as one might think.
It's definitely not quick, but it'll cruise down the highway at 80 mph comfortably. It can maybe get 25 mpg if you're really slow and careful. I probably get like 16 to 18 mpg.
That's not too bad for an old car. As long as it is happy once it gets up to speed, that can be managed just fin
It might be a bit faster with the mild changes made. It has a different cam shaft and advanced timing, as well as letting some additional air into the system - the exhaust flow was fine for this and needed no changes.
But, it won't be that much different than stock. It's probably at about what the engine would have done when it was brand new.
It's possible to stuff the 5.0L Ford Mustang engine under the hood. Some folks like doing that. It turns them into tire-burning beasts and stop-light sleepers. You can race against people who have their Honda Civic type R cars with fart cans on the back.
I've considered doing so, but I love it just the way it is.
