He got caught by acting suspiciously and having a suspicious itinerary. He got nervous when they approached him and didn't have ready answers to things like where he'd been and what he'd done while in Peru.
It was amusing. Literally, every single item in the suitcase contained cocaine and the suitcase itself had hidden cocaine. Even his food products contained cocaine. He had like 10 kilos of coke.
Wouldn't you think you would have a back story at the ready when doing that?
You'd think so, but that's how so many of 'em get caught. They tend to exhibit the same behavior, at least out of those that they catch.
That's probably why I never get caught, I act like I'm doing nothing wrong, though I don't smuggle drugs.
