I do kinda miss it. I miss the people I'd encounter, among other things.
It's also kinda risky behavior. There's desperate people at cheap hotels. Desperate people take risks, do things they'd not normally do. So, you are at some degree of risk greater than you're going to experience at a fancy hotel with things like security personnel and cameras everywhere.
So, I haven't been in a cheap hotel in years.
I remember one time when I was just getting divorced I had this hot blonde 18 year old girlfriend and we got a cheap motel room and she got on her period and I didnt give a damn and fucked her brains out anyways and that room was covered in blood so bad it looked like a murder scene, I was afraid for a month the cops were going to come question me
Motels don't take cash these days just for that reason. They want to be able to ping your credit card for a 'cleanup fee' - which can easily run into the few hundred dollar range. That and they want to nail you for smoking in your non-smoking room. Many hotels are completely non-smoking these days.
Its state law here that hotels are non smoking. Sucks. I remember last time I went to Florida and the hotel wanted to charge me a thousand some dollars for the phone calls the crazy woman I went there with made to my cell phone while I was off away from her and the room. I never answered a single one of those calls and they wanted to charge me long distance rates for each and every call. Adding up to more than the room was for a week! I told them I was not going to pay them and I showed the manager of the place on my phone that I did not answer a single one of those calls and they let it slide. LoL
