Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask theBuddha, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

I would think outdoor signs get replaced more often than every decade or two

I don't actually know how long it takes. I suspect it matters where the sign is (geographically) and what the sign is made of.

There are still people who make a living making and repairing signs. Curiously, in just my small area, I know two of 'em. I have never asked about replacement frequencies.

I do know that the outdoor signs of a local Subway and several Dunkin Donuts locations have (probably) not been replaced in at least a decade. Internal signage is changed all the time. The electronic signage has been changed a few times. I think the franchise makes us do that. The outdoor signage for the drive-thru has been changed at the Dunkin locations that have a drive-thru.

I suppose the indoor signage reflects the current promotions. I guess the big signs outside don't get changed too often, only when something odd happens to break them

Yup. And, well, people just didn't store that shit. It got recycled at best, and tossed into a landfill more regularly.
