Yeah, it is (I think) a much better experience on the phone or internet. They even try to hype people up on the phone but they're pretty patient with me. I'm well known and they know damned well that their attempts to pressure me will not do them any good.
If they annoy me, I'll hang up and call another phone operator and then that operator will get credit. They don't want to do that. I buy a lot of stuff. They don't even care if I dial in when the auction opens and stay on the line all day. Shit, I put 'em on hold when I am not going to bid any time soon, or I just chat to 'em while waiting for another vehicle I want.
I also don't pay the 10%. I'm a gold something or other and pay half that, plus some benefits I probably shouldn't expose - but mostly surrounding the process of shipping them to me.
